Now Accepting Nominations for the 2027 Board.
Please send a quick email to NomCom@Wisrid.org including the name of the person you are nominating, the position(s) you are nominating them for and their contact email so we may let them know they have been nominated. No extra recommendation is necessary. Nominations are kept confidential. The nominee will only be told “you’ve been nominated.”
If the nominee qualifies to be a board member, (bylaws, page 5,) Nominees will be asked to accept or decline. If they accept, the nominee will be asked to provide a statement to “run” for the position. If multiple people are in the running for the same position, online voting will take place in October.
New board members will be announced at the conference. For more information about duties and responsibilities, please review the Bylaws and PPM linked above.

Additional Positions
Terms of Office
The positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Trustee, Member-at-Large, and Communications Director shall be elected every two (2) years.
1. The President, Member-at-Large, and Treasurer shall be elected in odd-numbered years.
2. The Vice President, Secretary, Trustee, and Communications Director shall be elected in even-numbered years.
The former President will hold the office of Immediate Past President for a period of one (1) year, if and only if that person does not hold another office within the board. After one (1) year, the Immediate Past President vacates the office. The office of Immediate Past President may be vacant.
The W.A.D. Liaison is appointed by the W.A.D. Board to serve a one (1) year term.
The Student Liaison shall be elected annually by the entire membership. The slate of nominees shall include the Student Representatives appointed by the students from the Interpreter Training/Preparation Programs in Wisconsin.
